Sometime the storms of Life catch us off guard. We have plans and we make them ahead of time and we have every intention of doing what we planned.
What happens when your plans are thwarted by life?
When you forget, or something happens, and you are not able to do what it is you planned to do.
What happens when someone else is affected by the life that happened, and plans did not work out?
What I usually do is freak out and apologize A LOT to everyone and take ownership of all the things that happened and they become a part of me.
That is co-dependency at its finest, always to blame when things go wrong, even if you could control the universe, you wouldn’t be any good at it.
That is why God is God, and I am not, the bible tells us how to handle the days when things do not go our way.
Philippians 4:6
Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.

We think that we are left to deal with life’s storms alone. We think that whatever we could do better would have fixed it.
The truth is that nothing we did better could have changed it or kept it from happening. Unless is a storm of our making, but even then….he uses what the devil meant for evil to turn it for our good.
He never leaves us. He is with us always. Trust him to continue to write your story, even when detours happen, there is always another road that takes you where you are supposed to be. Follow Jesus, the sign that shows you the way out when life takes you down a road you never saw yourself taking.
