I have been overwhelmed with all that is happening in Texas. Fourth of July this year was devastating for many families in the area.
Flood waters came from nowhere and they came fast and the toll keeps rising daily and words of hatred are being spewed from the mouths of those who have spoken curses upon my state and the families that reside in it.
What do we do when we are overwhelmed and exhausted from the world just coming at us like waves in the river?
Today, I am overwhelmed and exhausted! The world is ugly and broken and no matter where I turn, I could not escape the ugliness of humanity.
There is a place that I can go that the ugliness cannot touch me! I call upon the name of Jesus. I set my eyes above the waves that continue to crash over me, I lift my hands in holy surrender.
He is calling me to a deeper more intimate relationship. He calls me to be different, to be better, sometimes that is hard, when I want to cuss and yell at the lady on Facebook that keeps saying these babies deserved to die because they live in Texas.
As if they could choose where they live! Jesus! I have to completely give myself to the lord’s grace and mercy, sometimes multiple times a day. I am not perfect; I fail daily but I still surrender to him. I want to know him in a real way; I want him to never leave me because I get scared.
He makes me brave! He makes me feel safe. He flows through me; he helps me find the words to say and he surrounds me with love. The bible says that we will see signs and wonders, that we would know that the time of the second coming is near.
Jesus is coming soon, and people he isn’t happy!
He isn’t happy with how we have been treating each other. He isn’t happy that we tear each other down, we do not honor one another, and we do not honor mother and father. Heck, we have single handedly gotten rid of mother and father and replaced it with mom and mom or dad and dad.
We have done everything he said we would! We call good evil and evil good and the moment we realized what we did, and we tried to change it back the devil was like NAH!!! You gave me dominion over that and I isn’t about to give it up that easy!
Yes, the devil is from Texas, because only a Texan would understand the heat of hell and still want to be there! If you live in Texas and you do not believe in Hell, we need to talk!! For Real
The father is coming for his children, so the time is NOW that you need to get your heart right with him.
The bible says in Matthew 5:23
So if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, 24leave your gift there before the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
He wants us to forgive one another and then come give offerings
Matthew 7:3 says
Why do you see the speck that is in your brother’s eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? 4 Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? 5 You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye.
He wants us to get right before we can tell someone else how to live their lives. so if we are sinning and we have not repented then we should not be correcting someone else’s sins, we can correct in love and we can help each other be held accountable and learn and grow together.
CORRECT IN LOVE
LOVE THEM AND LET THEM GO
Do not tell someone to do something that you
A. Are not doing
B. Would NOT do
C. That is NOT biblical
D. Do NOT condone bad behavior
We are called to be different.
on a lighter note, Listen to How Great is our God in different languages! That song in Hebrew is breathtaking.

He did not leave, he was there. Not one soul was lost, not one child suffered, not one minute did he walk away from them. He loves us and he knows how much it hurts; he will turn what the world meant for evil for good. Do not give up on him!
He never gave up on ME! He will not give up on you
