We can be so busy trying to save everyone around us that we fail to realize that we need help too. We often call that codependency.

What happens when the rain falls, and the flood comes and you have gotten everyone to safety, and you are still drowning? You have hurts that no one knows about, cuts that cannot be seen, who helps you?

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. ² This is what the ancients were commended for.

Hebrews 11:1 says that Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance in what we do not see, but how does that help when we feel that we are drowning, where is our HOPE, how do we find it when we are in a storm and waters are surrounding us?

Isiah 43 says that when we go through deep waters, he* Christ is with us. He never leaves us. So, our hope is found in that we are not alone when the rain falls, when the waters rise, and after the rain, he is still there.

There have been many times when the rain fell in my life and the water rose and I felt as if I were going to drown, but I am still here to tell of the love of Jesus and how he saved my life.

The devil meant to take me out, and he has tried so many times, he thought my song was over! But God had other plans for my life, my purpose remains. I still struggle with what my purpose is but I know one thing remains true.

I was placed on this planet to plunder hell and populate heaven, I am meant to go to the dens of iniquity, and I will bring souls to Jesus.

Psalms 40:2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along

He does not leave us in the pit, he gets in there with us, he comforts us, and he lifts us up!

We have to reach out, we have to have community, and we need a safe place to call home that gives us the support we need to reach out. Where do we find that?

Some have addictions, some have mental health issues, some have family members that have struggled with addiction, and mental health issue, some just have habits and hang ups due to belief systems that were taught.

The neuropathways need to be reconstructed like the freeway that ends at nowhere, we need to rewire our brains to think the right way instead of always retiring to the flight mode or in my case I have fight and flight mode.

If you hurt me, I want to run away but if you hurt someone, I love I will fight for them until my last breath, that is not always the best way to be, Celebrate Recovery helps me gain the tools that I need to act not react, and I learn healthy boundaries and I learn what to and what not to do,

I still struggle daily, because the bible tells us that its progress not perfection, I aim for perfection, but until I am in Heaven, I will not make it there, but that does not mean that I stop trying

The devil hates it when we do what we are called, he will attack from all sides, he will stop at nothing to keep you from doing what God has called you to do. After the rain, the clean-up is hard and its nasty, but it’s necessary.
